Former Sand Gnat Stars for Houston

Enjoyed watching Justin Maxwell go 4-for-4 with 2 singles and 2 home runs to lead the Houston Astros to a 3-2 win over the Atlanta Braves Saturday evening. He also stole a base.
Maxwell made his debut with the Savannah Sand Gnats on April 29, 2006 and hit a three-run home run in his second at bat. The Sand Gnats were affiliated with the Washington Nationals at that time.
Maxwell's college career at the University of Maryland and his minor league career was marred by injuries.
Spectacular career night for Maxwell.
